About LDR Photo Index
LDR Photo Index — Independent Photo Conversion & Editing Index — covers four editorial directions: File Formats, Conversion Workflows, Photo Editing, Image Quality. LDR Photo Index is an independent editorial project reviewing popular online image conversion, PDF, and AI photo-editing services, alongside four browser-only tools that process files locally on your device.
What this is, and isn't
LDR Photo Index is an independent editorial project. It is not affiliated with the conversion services, editors, or any previous operator of this domain. Service names mentioned belong to their respective owners.
We are not the operator of any conversion service reviewed on this site, and we do not accept payment in exchange for a favorable review or placement. Service names, logos, and marks belong to their respective owners; we describe them in text rather than reproducing any logo asset.
How we review
- Every review is checked against the service's own official page at the time of review, not against marketing copy we copy and paste.
- We don't invent ratings, traffic figures, testing statistics, awards, exact upload limits, or pricing — where a detail varies or changes often, we say so and point to the provider's current page.
- Where we can't verify a detail, we leave it out rather than guess.
The tools
The four tools in /tools/ run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Files you select are never uploaded to LDR Photo Index or any third party — everything happens on your own device.
