Editorial Policy
Reviews
Each of the 10 reviewed services is checked against its own official page. We describe capabilities, availability, and general account/free-access characteristics as we understand them at the time of review. We do not invent user ratings, traffic figures, testing statistics, awards, exact upload limits, exact pricing, security certifications, automatic-deletion times, or supported formats we can't confirm — where a detail varies or changes frequently, we say so and point to the provider's current page instead of stating a fixed number.
Independence
LDR Photo Index is an independent editorial project. We are not affiliated with any of the reviewed services, and we are not affiliated with any previous operator of this domain. We do not accept payment for placement or a favorable verdict. Service names and marks belong to their respective owners; we use text-based marks, never a copied logo.
Journal articles
Every Journal article traces its topic back to a real, current source used only as research — articles are written in our own words, never closely paraphrased from a source. We distinguish current news from evergreen explanation, and we don't publish invented statistics, quotes, or specific claims we can't support.
Browser tools
Every tool in /tools/ processes files locally in your browser. Files are never uploaded to LDR Photo Index or any third-party server as part of using a tool. Each tool page documents what it does and doesn't do, including known limitations (for example, PNG's lossless compression having a practical ceiling, or canvas export normally stripping embedded metadata).
What we don't do
- No promotional or paid-placement language anywhere on the public site
- No fabricated statistics, invented quotes, or invented named experts
- No claim about a service's pricing, limits, or certifications we haven't confirmed
